Call for articles and photos for the magazine Caucasus Environment

The Caucasus Environmental NGO Network calls for submission of articles and photos for publication in the quarterly magazine Caucasus Environment.

Articles on global environmental problems, sustainable lifestyle, travel, ethnical groups, cultural and general exotics of the Caucasus are welcome for publication in one of the following rubrics and columns of the magazine:

Rubrics:

§ Sustainable development / Устойчивое развитие

§ Traveling Caucasus / Путешествуя по Кавказу

§ Technologies / Технологии

§ Caucasus biodiversity / Биоразнообразие Кавказа

§ People / Люди

Column:

§ Wonders of nature / Чудо природы

Submission Requirements:

§ Names of authors or organizations or other necessary information (credentials etc.) for both photos and texts shall be specified clearly in the submitted package.

§ A brief abstract (50 words, emphasizing what is particularly attractive in the article for readers) shall be attached to the article.

§ Only articles developed especially for the magazine and never published before will be accepted.

§ Each article shall be accompanied by 8 or more high quality photos enclosed separately.

§ Articles shall be submitted in the English or Russian languages.

§ Articles submitted for the rubrics shall not exceed 1000 words.

§ Articles submitted for the column shall not exceed 300 words.

§ Number of articles submitted by the same author is not limited.

Formatting requirements:

Texts:

§ Article texts shall be submitted as a Word file containing only text.

Photos:

§ Photos, graphs, diagrams shall be submitted separately in JPG or TIF format.

§ Resolution: 300dpi/inch.

§ Minimal size of a photo in port A4

Terms and conditions:

§ Authors of articles selected for publication will receive honorarium as specified bellow:

For an article in the rubrics – 100 USD

For an article in the column – 60 USD

§ Honorarium will be paid within two weeks after the publication of the issue in which the article will be printed.

§ The copyright on articles selected for publication will be transferred to magazine upon the payment of the honorarium.

§ Editors are entitled to edit slightly (style, grammar, etc.) accepted articles.
